Queensland pilot

Start with Brisbane and selected Queensland regions, then expand nationally after methodology validation.

Recognised doctors

Methodology

Recognition should reflect professional confidence, not advertising spend.

The pilot uses verified peer nominations as the primary signal. A doctor may nominate colleagues only in areas where the nominator has relevant professional knowledge. We apply minimum sample thresholds before publishing a category.

01

Verify nominators. Registration and professional identity are checked before a vote is counted.

02

Ask referral questions. “Who would you refer a close family member to for this clinical problem?”

03

Control for bias. Self-votes, duplicate votes and suspicious nomination clusters are excluded.

04

Apply evidence thresholds. Small samples produce “Recognised” lists rather than fine-grained tiers.

05

Separate editorial and commercial teams. Doctors cannot pay for ranking, inclusion or a higher tier.

For medical practitioners

Nominate a colleague.

Peer nominations are confidential. The prototype records the workflow only; it does not submit real nominations.

Editorial safeguards

Built for credibility.

No purchased rankings

Paid profiles and sponsorship, if introduced, are visibly separated from editorial recognition.

Right of correction

Doctors can correct factual profile information without affecting their editorial status.

Annual refresh

Recognition expires and is reassessed rather than becoming permanent.

Published limitations

Each list can disclose sample size, geography, survey period and what the ranking does—and does not—measure.
